I had an incredible stay at Rio Hostel in Colombia! As a solo traveler, I appreciated the friendly staff and warm atmosphere. The layout of the hostel is beautiful, making it feel more like a hotel. The beds were comfortable, and the rooms had convenient lockers and shelves. The toilets and showers were clean, with amazing jungle views. There were plenty of fun activities to do, like tubing and horse riding. Plus, the food options for vegetarians were amazing!
I would recommend this hotel.

The food was delicious, especially the breakfast with its amazing selection of fresh fruit. The hostel had a friendly and lively atmosphere, yet there were plenty of opportunities for quiet time by the beautiful river. The hostel is in the middle of the forest, so there's not much to do besides drinking and chatting with people. Also, it lacks a Colombian vibe, so you could easily mistake it for any other place.
I loved waking up to a possum behind someone's bed and a biblical-sized cockroach in the morning. The mosquito nets protect well, but it's so comforting to know that critters can enter anytime.

This place was worth every penny! The room was comfortable and clean, and the location was fine. The staff at Rio Hostel were friendly and helpful.
The morning meal could use a little improvement. A wider variety of options would make breakfast even better.

My stay at Rio Hostel was an absolute highlight of my trip to Colombia. The secluded jungle environment created a peaceful atmosphere that allowed me to truly disconnect from the internet and enjoy a digital detox. The common areas were perfect for socializing and enjoying delicious food, and the sound of music in the background added to the vibrant ambiance. The spacious and clean bathrooms were impressive considering the jungle surroundings. The staff was incredibly lovely and helpful throughout my stay.

The facilities at this hostel were great - beautiful surroundings and a relaxed atmosphere. The location was perfect, right on the river, offering a picturesque setting. The organized activities and tours provided by the hostel were a highlight of my stay, especially the tubing experience. the electronic bracelet system made it convenient to keep track of expenses throughout my stay.
The showers provided only cold water, which was a bit uncomfortable, especially during the evenings. the lack of a kitchen meant that guests had to rely on the hostel's restaurant for meals, which were expensive and limited in options.

The dorm rooms had excellent storage options and the design was impressive. the staff and volunteers were friendly and efficient, creating a welcoming atmosphere. the music at this hostel was the best I have experienced in South America.
The hostel had a large resort-like feel, which may not appeal to those who prefer a more intimate setting. the showers could be quite cold, especially at night.
